The owning company of Fairmont Yangcheng Lake is Kunshan City Construction Investment Development Co., Ltd., which was founded on March 30, 2004. KCID is a wholly state-funded company and affiliated to State Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of Kunshan City, its main business is to manage & operate the city capitals and state-owned assets authorized by the government.

Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, located between the metropolitan Shanghai City and the renowned historical and cultural city of Suzhou, opened on October 1, 2009. The hotel features 200 guest rooms, plus an additional 25-room VIP Villa with lakeside views, 3,000 square meters of function space, a Willow Stream Spa and Health Club, a business center, 6 food & beverage outlets, including a 2,000 square meters high-end signature Chinese restaurant.
